{made} — Catchall Crochet Tray.
Wildfiber yarn shop had a crochet doily swap May 2012 and I wanted to do something a little out of the ordinary for it.
I was inspired by this basket/tray, but wanted it to be much fancier. So, I designed my own version of the pattern and used a homemade starch to stiffen the tray; directions can be found online here.

  6. I went to the Lotus Lantern Festival in Seoul yesterday and had a lovely time. They had dozens of tents set up where you could do a multitude of different crafts. Naturally, my first stop was the embroidery tent. I chose to embroider this pretty flower, although I have no idea what it is called. I learned a new stitch which was great, and it’s a nice and easy one. My time at the embroidery tent has motivated me to learn more stitches and focus more on needlework. I’m thinking a trip to a craft supply store is in order soon!
